On Saturday, Aug. 14, I had the pleasure of helping in the Youth Football concession booth. During the time I was there, I saw several adults and FCS students whom I would call "Gimpers for God."
Bruce Wilkinson, in his book, Beyond Jabez, gives the definition of a Gimper as someone who always does a little more than what is required or expected.
Gimpers I observed were: Cynthia Ward, Lisa Dooley, Andrew Evans, Josiah Ford, Tyler Revis, Madison Dooley and Ashley Ward. There were several parents also, but I don't remember their names.
They all worked long hours to help make that event successful. I noticed they were willing to do whatever was needed.
Way to go, Gimpers!
