"The ABC's of my high school journey"
Mug.jpg)
In a few short days I will walk across a stage and receive a piece of paper that marks the end of my FC journey. I'm sad to leave. I remember coming to this school as a shy little third grader ten years ago. So much has happened over the years. I have laughed with students, I have cried with friends, I have sweated with teammates, I have prayed with teachers. And now, in a matter of days, my high school adventure will come to an end.
God is so gracious; he has blessed me more than I could ever imagine. Below are a handful of some of the greatest memories I made over the last four years. I hope you enjoy "The ABC's of my high school journey."
A is for adventure, these four years have been
B is for ballin' at Selland again
C is for Calvin crest, I led grade the eighth
D is for devotionals, weekly blogs about faith
E is for Eagles, we all fly together
F is for famous, our paper The Feather
G is for good times with my little bro
H is for hearts that Christ set aglow
I is for intentional teachers who care
J is for journalism, Mr. Stobbe's got flair
K is for king dance, we busted some moves
L is for laughter and the stress it removes
M is for magic, wanna pick a card?
N is for NOTS, the juniors went hard
O is for overtime, epic Senior Night win
P is for Powder Puff, let the games begin
Q is for Queen Pageant, like a punk I was dressed
R is for relationships, kindness I stressed
S is for Sadies, fond memories were made
T is for tennis, fun matches I played
U is for unselfish CSF servants
V is for valuing prayer and observance
W is for worship, weekly chapels were awesome
X is for excellence, FC continues to blossom
Y is for yes, I'm sad to be leaving
Z is for zero, no regrets and no grieving
Okay, to be honest there might be a little grieving. I'm really going to miss the people here at FC. So many friends, teachers, coaches and parents have made a significant impact on my life. There's an old saying that goes, "Whenever you see a turtle sitting on a fence post you know he didn't get there by himself, he had some help along the way." I want to thank all of the people who have blessed me and helped me become the person I am today.
In conclusion, my prayer for this school comes straight from scripture. May the community of believers at FC follow the words that the apostle Paul wrote many years ago:
"Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving side by side for the faith of the gospel," (Philippians 1:27 ESV)
Senior Brady Lee will attend Biola University in La Mirada, CA, in the fall to study Christian Ministries. He will be rooming with his older brother, Spencer, '10.

Brady,
You have dramatically changed from the little boy I used to stand next to in elementary school, to a man of God, leading all as a great example of faith. I pray that you stay the same and never change. I have enjoyed getting to know you in the school setting but also outside of it up at Calvin Crest. Stay strong and continue to fight the good fight. Good luck!

Brady,
We're all so proud of you for completing high school and making such an impact on those around you for four years. I pray that you'll maintain your focus in college and be able to excel even more at Biola than you did at FCS. For now, enjoy graduation and all the fun times with your classmates that will happen in the next few weeks. Its one of the best times of your life and you'll never get it back, so make the most of it! See you at graduation!

Brady, I cannot put into words the blessing you have been to me. I will never forget playing these past two years of basketball with you. I just want to thank you for everything you taught me on and especially off the court. You are a great guy with an awesome heart for God and you will be missed by so many more than you know. I know that you will do great things in the future and I look forward to seeing your name one day. It has been a pleasure my dear friend. Best of luck!

Brady, this was such a creative way to write your senior column! You did a great job summarizing your high school journey.
You have been such a great leader on the FC campus, and you will be greatly missed. Thank you for living out the gospel and for sharing God's love with others. I know God is going to use you in mighty ways in college; He already has.
Grace and peace.
