Each year Fresno Christian high school leadership class chooses a homecoming theme. This theme is carried out in float design, printed materials, advertisements, and the homecoming game. This year’s theme for the 33rd annual FC Homecoming is ‘Homecoming For Humanity’. Directing the focus towards helping others, each class has chosen a non-profit to raise funds for and market.
Freshmen choose Miss Winkles animal adoption center as their non-profit organization to support. The state-of-the-art adoption center provides care for up to 150 animals at a time. Miss Winkles has advanced sanitizing technologies, air filtration systems and professional staff and volunteers and is the leading animal care facility in the Valley.
Sophomores choose Lanna Coffee Co. as their non-profit organization to support. Lana works towards impacting the hill tribes of northern Thailand through the distribution of their product.
Juniors choose Hume Lake Christian Camp as their non-profit organization to support. The Christian camp’s goal is to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ globally through camping ministry.
Seniors choose Red Cross as their non-profit organization to support. In the recent month Red Cross has been helping aid the victims of hurricane Harvey and Irma. There are several divisions of Red Cross aid including those featured on the posters. Fire fighters, bio-hazard, search and rescue, medical doctors and nurses and many other volunteer positions.
Themed posters are created to promote the homecoming candidates and market the event.
Slideshow below includes images of each themed poster that hangs in the hallways of FCS.
