As the Thanksgiving season draws near, High school leadership kicks off the start to the 10th annual Canned Food Drive.
Each year, Fresno Christian teachers and students strives to give back to community through Pinedale Community Fellowship Church. The goal of the canned food drive is to provide for those who are less fortunate during times of thankfulness.
Canned foods and goods are to be dropped off in room 608. The deadline to bring cans is Dec. 11.
Special thanks to those who brought OCC boxes, we gathered a total of 412 boxes! Our goal is bring more canned food than we did the last charity event!
Some food items that can be brought:
Canned soup
Canned gravy
Boxed mashed potatoes
Canned corn
Canned yams
Box of cookies
Bag of rice
Can of olives
Canned green beans
Box of stove top stuffings
Can of pumpkin
Can of chicken broth
Together we CAN!
Coming up next is the stuffed animal drive for valley children’s hospital, Dec. 18, so make sure to bring a new stuffed animal in return for a sweet treat.
