Student leadership class plans activities, fundraisers in light of restrictions

Unavoidable effects of the global pandemic make gathering together nearly impossible, especially for schools. This year, the Leadership class and Associated Student Body rethink what events students can and cannot safely participate in.
Apex Fundraiser
This year’s high school fundraiser starts on Feb. 8, with Apex Leadership Co. representatives hosting activities during break and lunch for prizes. The fundraiser culminates in a color battle on Feb. 16, where students who raised money can throw packets of colorful, washable chalk at each other and teachers.
Super Bowl fun
With Super Bowl LV kicking off on Sunday, leadership has planned a slew of activities for Friday, Feb. 5. Students can wear sports jerseys or branded clothing to school. At lunch, students can compete for prizes in a mock combine, with events such as a 40-yard dash, vertical jump and distance throw.

Blood Drive
For years, hospitals have relied on school blood drives. According to the Central California Blood Center, blood donations are down 20-40% due to online schooling. Fresno Christian students 16 or older have the opportunity to save lives by donating blood. On April 21, the Central California Blood Center will send a truck to the campus for students and parents.
