Jumping into the rainy season

Jumping+into+the+rainy+season

It’s officially the rainy season, students prepare by wearing boots and swapping flannels for coats, Nov. 8.

In Fresno, it showers for seven months and is dry for five, with an average rainfall of 1.42 inches in Nov. alone. It rains for about 11 days this month and the temperatures range from 46-69 degrees.

Senior Marissa Cantu shares her favorite rainy day pastime.

“My favorite thing to do in the rain is either running and jumping in the puddles outside,” Cantu said. “Or watching two raindrops race on the car window.”

Three relaxing activities you can participate in on a rainy day:
-Reading a book in warm, comfortable clothes by a window
-Having a Bible study by the fireplace
-Watching movies on the couch with a warm blanket

Varsity football captain Joshua Chinn, ‘23, shares his thoughts on practicing in the rain.

“I prefer playing in the cold and rainy weather,” Chinn said. “I feel more comfortable wearing long sleeves and gloves.”

Did you know the maximum speed of a falling raindrop ranges from 18 to 22 miles per hour?
