SOFTBALL MEETING
All girls interested in playing softball must attend a mandatory meeting this Friday at lunch in Room 604.
SECOND SEMESTER SCHEDULES
Changes to class schedules for the second semester may be made the during the first week back, Jan. 12-16. Visit the high school office for more information.
TRANSCRIPTS FOR COLLEGES
All seniors planning to go to college must request official transcripts with final first semester grades to be sent to applicable colleges. Fill out the transcript request forms in front of the high school office and submit them to Mrs. Kilbourne.
CELL PHONE POLICY REMINDER
Cell phones are not to be seen in any of the buildings on campus between the hours of 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., regardless of any reason. They will be taken away and kept by an administrator until after 3 p.m. However, students may use cell phones outside the building or in the high school office, with permission, during school hours.
WSL TALENT SHOW AUDITIONS
The auditions for the 2009 WSL talent show will be held Feb. 2 and 3 at lunch. However, anyone interested in auditioning must prepare during Christmas vacation. All acts must be pre-approved by the administration before the closed auditions. Please bring a printed copy of any song lyrics to the auditions and sign up in front of the high school office. Three acts from Fresno Christian will be chosen to compete in the regional talent show.
PSAT RESULTS
PSAT results, including score sheets and test booklets, may be picked up from Molly Sargent in the high school office. Students must have a note from their parents giving permission to pick up the PSAT material or parents may pick the results up themselves. For more information or for questions, contact Sargent.
NIGHT OF THE STARS
Fresno Christian’s formal event, Night of the Stars (NOTS), will take place on Saturday evening, Jan. 24. Each class will make a movie which will be shown in chapel the week of Jan. 17-22. Tickets cost $50 and will be sold until Jan. 16.
During the formal event, photos will be taken before the dinner and an awards ceremony, similar to the Oscars, recognizing the winning movie, individuals, directors, etc., will take place. There will also be a non-school affiliated dance after the dinner and awards ceremony.
Any student attending the Night of the Stars must turn in a permission slip when they purchase their tickets. Permission slips were handed out in English classes.
Those who wish to bring a date who does not attend Fresno Christian must schedule an interview for the date with argent or Principal Jon Endicott.

UPDATE: New sweatshirts will be made for a lesser price in 1-2 weeks.
Sophomore sweatshirts are on sale. Check out the design posted on the high school office window. The cost is $50 and comes in adult sizes small through XXLarge. If you have any questions or to purchase one, see Kelsey Hart.
TUTORS NEEDED
The Learning Resource Center is looking for a tutor to assist Algebra II students. There is also a need for tutoring elementary students after school. Please contact LRC director Lori Grossman in the LRC office to apply for the positions. The position pays $10 an hour.
CSF TUTORING PROGRAM
CSF members will host a table for students to sign-up for the CSF tutoring program on Monday during lunch in the GZ courtyard. This program is a free service for students who need assistance with specific subjects on a temporary basis. For more information, contact CSF tutoring program director Natalie McCallum or CSF adviser Molly Sargent.
HS BOYS’ BIBLE STUDY
Every Friday at lunch there is a Bible study for high schools boys in Room 623. Coach Sorenson will be there to lead the discussion. For more information, contact Sorenson.
USE OF COPIER IN THE OFFICES
A reminder to the students: the copier machines in the offices are not for student use. If students wish to make copies, they are 10 cents each.
