Sophomore Princess Candidates
Next stop: Destination Homecoming! Congratulations to the 40th Fresno Christian Homecoming candidates. Voted in by their peers, The Feather presents the sophomore princess nominees Riley Price, Ella Barnes and Layna Gailey. The big event will happen Friday, Sept. 26. Princesses are introduced at 5:30 p.m. before kickoff at 6, and winners will be crowned at halftime.
Riley Price

Price started at Fresno Christian in 7th grade and her dream destination is Australia. Three words Price describes herself as are stubborn, energetic and caring. Her favorite Bible verse is Psalm 139:14, “I praise you for I am fearfully and wonderfully made, wonderful are your works I know that full well.”
If you could have one high school do over, what would that be?
Not jump in the pool a week before school and break my foot.
If you could have dinner with any person alive in the world today, who would it be? Why?
Tatum McQuown, because she’s the best cousin ever
Would you rather sing or dance in front of people? Why?
Neither, but if I had to choose, I would sing but that doesn’t mean it would be good
Ella Barnes

Barnes joined the FCS community her 8th grade year and dreams of visiting Greece. If Barnes could only eat at one fast food restaurant, it would be Chipotle and she has a celebrity crush on Noah Beck. Barnes’ favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 3:56, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”
Three words that describe you?
Funny, talkative, giving
If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
Teleport. I’m very impatient and I’d love to press a button and just get there.
If you had a million dollars, what would you buy?
I would save for my future kids’ tuition and their needs.
Layna Gailey

Gailey moved to Fresno Christian her freshman year and her dream destination is the Maldives. She would rather dance in front of people than sing, and has a Hollywood crush on Drew Starkey. Gailey describes herself as bold, compassionate and friendly. Her favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 11:17, “A man who is kind benefits himself, but a cruel man hurts himself.”
If you had a million dollars, what would you buy?
I would buy d1 barrel horses and win every jackpot and get more money.
