The 2025 World Series sets the stage for an intense showdown between the reigning champions, the Los Angeles Dodgers, and the Toronto Blue Jays, who haven’t been to a World Series since 1993. With millions watching from around the world, one team will rise and claim the title of World Series Champion.
Toronto Blue Jays
The Blue Jays have been on fire throughout their postseason. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has led his team with some clutch hits, multiple home runs, and an impressive batting average of .400. Also, teammates Bo Bichette and George Springer have stepped up, giving Toronto some of the best lineups in baseball. The Blue Jays have secured their spot in the World Series after winning the American League Championship Series in Game 7. This victory means that they were the best team in their league and advanced to the final round of the MLB playoffs for the first time in decades. It’s been over 30 years since the Blue Jays last won a World Series, so the pressure is high and the excitement is even higher. Is Toronto going to make history again?
Los Angeles Dodgers
The Dodgers enter the 2025 season looking to defend their title. Their key strengths start on the pitching mound with Blake Snell and Yoshinobu Yamamoto; these 2 players have carried the pitching rotation throughout the postseason. Offensively, Shohei Ohtani has been a powerhouse by setting a new franchise record of 55 home runs this season. Alongside him, we have Mookie Betts, the veteran leader who has been explosive offensively and defensively this season. The Dodgers’ lineup of elite players and playoff experience has given them the edge. With Championship experience and star players on their side, can the Los Angeles Dodgers claim the championship once again?
Prediction
Edge for the Dodgers
They have experience in high stakes, have won 8 total World Series so far, and with key players Ohtani and Yamamoto, they might just be unstoppable.

Edge for the Blue Jays
If the Toronto hitters maintain their heat and their pitching holds, and with their desire to get the title again after almost 30 years, they might just have the momentum to start an upset.
My Prediction
I lean toward the Dodgers winning the Series. Their roster is just too strong, and the Blue Jays just don’t have the experience in a big, high-pressure series. While Toronto could throw some upsets, I just don’t see them taking the Championship this year.
As the 2025 World Series continues, fans are witnessing an unforgetting showdown between these two talented teams. The Dodgers are looking to defend their title as champions while the Blue Jays look to win their first title in over 30 years and make history once again. No matter who comes out on top this has been an intensity filled series.
