The annual Fresno Area College Night will be held at the New Convention Center Exhibit Hall from 6-9 p.m., Sept. 9.
The event, sponsored by Pacific Gas and Electric Company, aims to inform prospective students about colleges and universities around the world.
Representatives from many specific institutions will attend and present information for students in grades 10-12 who are considering higher education. More than 100 colleges and universities sent spokespersons to the night last year, according to Molly Sargent, academic advisor.
Sargent recommends all students interested in college to attend the evening held in downtown Fresno near Selland Arena.
“If a student is at all considering a secular university, there’s not a better place to go to get all the information they need,” Sargent said.
Admission to the college night is free, but attendees must pay to park in the nearby lot.
Another event, the National Christian College Fair, will appear in Fresno and provide information on private schools. It is scheduled for 6-8 p.m. on Sept. 24 at Northwest Church, hosted by Fresno Pacific University.
