This letter is in response to the March 24 review, ‘Remember Me’ invokes emotional responses.
Dear editor:
What a mature analysis of a thought-provoking film. I saw this movie too, and found it to be moving and very emotionally complex. However, I left the theater feeling very disillusioned with the younger generation.
Throughout the whole movie, girls were screaming every time Rob Pattinson came on screen. Every time he took his shirt off, the dialogue in the movie was drowned out by squeals and expletives filling the theater. I found this to be totally inappropriate considering the serious subject matter. I respect Pattinson as an actor for making an effort to break out of the Edward Cullen role.
Anyway, I just wanted to say that I respect you girls for recognizing that there’s a time to be serious, and for actually analyzing the themes of the movie and allowing it to impact you. You truly stand out amongst most girls your age!
