It is that time of year again when the drama class puts on a performance to showcase their talents and hard work. This year’s play is called Lucas Lopez, ’14, Jenna Orcutt, ’13, and St. Louis, Missouri on the brink of the New York and plans to move the whole family to start a new life, meaning they will miss the fair. Once the news reaches the girls they begin their plan to stay in St. Louis.
Mr. Smith is played by Lopez, ’16, who hopes that his fellow peers go and enjoy the show. Lopez is excited to perform and looks forward to seeing the audience’s reaction to the play.
“I think the play is going to be really fun, and I really encourage people to come and enjoy the show with each other,” Lopez said. “I have to admit that I am a bit nervous, but after the first show I usually calm down and it becomes more routine. I hope the audience leaves with a good laugh, a life lesson, and I hope they are entertained.”
Sophomore Jordan Castro has been involved in drama for around six years and always looks forward to performance time.
“I think this is a really funny play,” Castro said. “Water will be used against certain enemies in the play. Overall it’s kind of chaotic, but an organized play and super fun to watch. I’m not too nervous about getting on stage because I have done it for so long, and I only have a few lines.”
