While performing the dance portion of their “love”-themed routine, the cheer team, featuring senior Elizabeth Grossman, center, added the last element with a technique called “facials,” ranging from looks of smug smirks to shocked surprise.

According to judges and fans, their wild expressions helped the squad to win first place in the varsity squad intermediate division at USA Regionals, Jan. 9, qualifying them to compete at Nationals in Anaheim in March.
