Following the success of the night rally, the FC gym will host a sports rally at 2:30 this Friday, Sept. 18, put on by student leadership. The theme will be red, white and blue. During the rally, varsity volleyball and tennis will be introduced to the school.
There will be various activities to participate in during the rally, like volleyball bump, digging for gum in a pie tin filled with whipped cream and class cheers.
Student leadership advisor, Vickey Belmont, plans on making the rally enjoyable, in order to boost student morale and bond with friends.
“We are having the rally this Friday to support the sport teams,” Belmont continued. “We’ve planned some pretty fun games to play, with the hope of energizing the student’s spirits for the fall sports.“
Claire Kollenkark, ‘16, hopes to enjoy the rally with fellow classmates.
“My favorite part about rallies is setting up our section and getting pumped for the rally to start,” Kollenkark continued. “I love the music playing in the background and dancing like complete idiots with my classmates.”
Fifth quarter is an annual Fresno Christian event where students go to a given location, after fourth quarter of the football game.
Roy Brown, ’17, feels excited for the new location for fifth quarter.
“I can’t wait to see how the leadership class presents the new location for fifth quarter,” Brown said. “I think it is going to be fun since the volleyball nets will be up. It should be really enjoyable to hang out with friends and reminisce about the game, my expectations are high, and hopefully the leadership class fulfills my expectations.”
Be sure to come out to the FC football game tomorrow night at 7 p.m. Then come to Fifth Quarter after the game with $5 for pizza, games and fun, which will end at 10:30 p.m.
