In recognition of national Scholastic Journalism Week (Feb. 20-26), publications adviser Greg Stobbe, left, organizes an after-school meeting with the journalism class at Clovis West High School to discuss new ideas and to build relationships with fellow writers, Feb. 17.
All the students introduced themselves by sharing their name and staff position. The CW journalism adviser, Pam Rakis, also shared her story about how she became a publications teacher and the struggles she faces on a daily basis trying to keep their online paper, The Vantage, updated.
After both advisers shared their stories, all of the journalism students broke off into groups to discuss the pros and cons of their individual positions.
