Adviser Scott Callisch’s video productions class team up with the Spanish Club students and plan a flash mob to take place during the lunch period in the Ground Zero quad, March 1. The event was choreographed to the song “Waka Waka” by Shakira.
The flash mob was planned as an experiment to see how many students would participate, and to promote Spanish Club. One by one, the club members made their way to the center of the quad, encouraging other students to dance.
As the song was ending, all of the students who participated in the flash mob gathered together in a tight circle, and then gradually moved backward, extending the circle with their hands in the air.
Once the song was over, each student returned to their original tree or lunch table to continue eating.
