Jeff Fabry, a paralytic archer, encouraged students to trust God and continue to have a positive attitude no matter what life throws at you during chapel, Jan. 7. 

At 15, Fabry got into a motorcycle accident that caused him to lose his right arm and leg leaving him disabled and in a wheelchair. 

Not allowing his disability to hold him back Fabry finished high school. After trying out college he mentioned it did not feel like it was necessary for his life. 

When he was with friends out hunting a life changing event helped him pursue archery.

With the loss of his leg and arm he was disabled, but went on to win two bronze medals and one gold medal for the paralympic games. Winning bronze in 2004 in Athens, getting bronze again in 2008 in Beijing and then going on to  finally win gold in 2012 in London. 

Fabry shares what he wants students to take away from his story, “No matter how bad you think your life is theres no reason to think that way, always have a positive outlook and you can do anything you set your mind to.”
