Before presenting their senior project, Josh Smith, left, and Ashlyn White quickly rehearse their speech to almost perfection before they show it the three judges, May 12. The senior project is graded on a pass or fail basis and by passing, the student is then able to graduate.
Smith and White gave a speech on gun control and whether it is a right or a privilege. Other topics included: anorexia, child obesity and many others. The three judges are Molly Sargent, Bessalee Mendoza and Robert Foshee who are all teachers of senior classes.
As a result, Smith and White passed and are now able to attend senior trip and graduate. For more information on senior projects, read Senior project tests nerves, comprehensive abilities.
