Michael Fenton returns to FC to help the math department integrate Desmos into daily learning, Jan. 22.
Desmos is an online graphing calculator thats allows students to collaborate with each other while improving their math skills.
After 10 years of service at FC. Fenton retired to become the lead instructional designer apart of the Desmos teaching faculty in Aug. 2015.
“My objective was to use a Desmos lesson in a real classroom, and to use what I learn to help make this lesson in particular, and lessons we make in general, more effective in the future.”, said Fenton. “Our task is to dream up activities and tools, and to work with the design and engineering teams to turn them into digital reality. In a sense, we’re building the math textbook of the future.”
