Campus infuses February with kindness
As roses and pink hearts begin to replace Christmas decorations in stores, high school leadership students here at Fresno Christian rush to prepare for their next event. In honor of Valentine’s day, leadership will be putting on a “Love, Love, Love Week” starting Feb. 6 and ending on Feb. 12, 2016.
Valentine’s day has a special place in the hearts of many students, many of whom have memories of school days filled with candy and sweets. This year leadership decided to focus on the different aspects of love and what it means to us as teenagers and also as Christians.
Leadership advisor, Robert Foshee, wants to emphasize that there is more than one type of love that we experience in our lives.
“We are coming up on Valentine’s day and a lot of times that invokes the idea of love,” Foshee said. “We were thinking about how in the English language, love is only one word but it represents many different types of love. We wanted to highlight many different things about love, not just romantic love, but all the different areas of love.”

Ladies Ensemble will kick off “Love, Love, Love Week” with a concert on Saturday, Feb. 6. The girls will sing several songs relating to love to help students get into the Valentine’s spirit.
This year student leadership aims to put more focus on God’s love for us this Valentine’s Day. The week will include three chapels all including the topic of love. There will also be several activities during lunch, helping students get into the Valentine’s spirit.
Foshee believes the week will be a fun and entertaining week for students to take part in.
“We will be doing lunch time activities with music, candy and giveaways,” Foshee said. “We are going to be having special chapels during the week, an extra one on Wednesday, all with the topic of what love is about. There will also be things like candy and gift cards and different things like that, that students can win in contest.”
Be sure to stay updated on the events to know how you can win prizes and giveaways.
