Dan Harris, American Sign Language (ASL) club adviser, invites Paul Ogden, Professor Emeritus, Deaf Studies/Deaf Education Programs, Department of Communication Disorders & Deaf Studies at California State Univeristy, Fresno, to share with the class Canine Champions for Independence (CCI), a training service for dogs to help the hearing impaired.
Ogden is a supporter of this group and owns a product of the group, his current dog named Bree. He showed the club a video, explaining what service dogs do, and included his second service dog, Chelsea as the main example for the CCI program.
