Pomegranate jelly is becoming a tradition for the home economics classes on campus, Oct. 13. Each year home economics teacher Sharon Scharf instructs students on how to make it, start to finish.
Freshman Olivia “Olive” Zizzo, left, and junior Theresa Perez, right, work on seeding the pomegranates.
Each student get to take home a jar of jelly, plus sales of the jelly will take place at the next football game. Students usually appreciate much more, the taste of jelly after making it from scratch, Scharf said.
