Tuesday
HS varsity boys basketball at Tranquility, 7 p.m. CIF playoff game
HS varsity boys baseball at Parlier, 3:30 p.m. Dismiss at Lunch
Wednesday
JH boys baseball at Bullard Talent, 2:45 p.m. Dismissal at 1:30 p.m.
JH girls basketball vs Wawona at 3 p.m. Dismissal at 2:10 p.m.
HS varsity girls basketball at Caruthers, 7 p.m. CIF playoff game
Thursday
HS varsity boys tennis at Coalinga, 4 p.m. Dismiss at 1:45 p.m.
HS varsity boys basketball possible playoff game. Time and location TBD
Friday
HS varsity boys baseball at Avenal, 4 p.m. Dismissal at 1:45 p.m.
HS varsity girls basketball possible playoff game. Time and location TBD
Saturday
HS varsity track at Central Valley Relays, 10 a.m. at Dinuba HS
HS varsity boys baseball vs Liberty HS at Minarets, 12 p.m.
T.E.A. Talks
A new group called TEA Talks has formed on campus and is lead by juniors Hannah Nale and Jennifer King. It is open to all HS girls and is meant to build friendships in Christ while encouraging others and learning about the Word.
Spring Formal
Fresno Christian’s Spring Formal, formally known as NOTS, will be held a Wolf Lakes, April 2, 2016. The theme this year will be set in the Roaring 20’s and tickets will be available starting Feb. 29, price TBA. More information will be available soon.
Scholastic Journalism Week
For the week of Feb. 21-27, The Feather will be taking part in Scholastic Journalism Week. This week is for journalists to emphasize “The Stories We Tell” and the reason why journalism is important to high school students. The Feather is joining SJW to help show the importance of journalism because through the First Amendment, demonstrating how fortunate American citizens are to have the freedom of press.

Break the Barriers
FC is looking for students to volunteer for Break the Barriers on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Volunteer work will count for hours toward CSF.
College Trip
The annual college trip has been scheduled for April 4-5. The trip will include visits to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Westmont and UC Santa Barbara. If interested, sign up with Kerry Roberts in building 5 with a $100 check or cash by Thurs, March 3.
Talent Show
FC will be having tryouts for a multi-school talent, the week of Feb. 1. See Robert Foshee or Vicky Belmont to inquire more information on tryouts. FC will be hosting the talent show during chapel Tue, Feb. 23. The other schools involved are Riverdale, Caruthers and Fowler.
CSF
CSF will have a mandatory meeting at lunch in room 621, Feb. 25
Bellezza at the Fresno Prayer Breakfast
FC’s ladies ensemble will perform at the annual Fresno Prayer Breakfast hosted at the Fresno Convention center, Feb. 23. Nearly 1,500 guests will be in attendance including the mayor of Fresno, Ashley Swearengin. The breakfast will begin at 7 a.m. and tickets are $25.
Juniors
A college representative from Fresno Pacific University will be presenting in the junior English classes, Feb. 23. There will also be a college representative from William Jessup University will be presenting in the junior advisory class, Feb. 29.
Seniors
Seniors who have applied to a local SCCCD community college must complete their online orientation as soon as possible. If you have any questions please contact Michelle Warkentin.
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) filing period is open from Jan. 1 – Mar. 2. This is an application for free financial assistance for college and also the application for The Middle-Class Scholarship. Local Cash for College Workshops are also being held now where you can receive help completing the application http://www.csac.ca.gov/ccfc.asp.
ESL help for International Students
Tamara Hill will be available in the library on Mondays and Tuesdays from 3-4 p.m. for ESL support for our international students. Any questions can be directed to Hill.
ON Campus Lunch Menu
JH/HS Leadership will offer lunch throughout the year on Thursday and Friday.
