FC parent Jason Geil, reads a picture book with his daughter Olivia Geil in class for Dad’s Day, Feb. 26.
One of the many activities kindergarten participates in is Dad’s Day. Each year FC Kindergarten teacher, Amy Witters, organizes a special day filled with making hairy heads, homemade volcanos and putting together treats for students to do with their father. Witters has put on Dad’s Day for many years and loves seeing the students get excited.
“I love doing the hairy heads and volcanos with the kids but most of all I enjoy seeing each student with their dad,” shared Whitters. “The student’s excitement of having their daddy or grandpa come is unbelievable.”
