John Cho’s Lion Dance Team performs the lion dance in the Chinese New Year parade in, Fresno Chinatown, March 7.

This is the 16th annual Chinese New Year Parade hosted by the Fresno Chinatown community. The parade consists of kids activities, a car show, food and merchants to celebrate the new year in Chinese calendar.

The year of 2016 is the year of monkey according to the Chinese Lunier Calendar. There are twelve animals in the Chinese zodiac and the following year will be the year of rooster.
