Don’t miss out on this year’s “Manliness Conference,” to be hosted on April 8 – 9, 2016. The conference is for all teen boys, young men, and dads. It will be located at Peoples Church Gym. On Friday, the conference will take place from 7-9 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
There will be snacks, a breakfast and a lunch provided by sponsors Christian Businessmen and Hume Lake. There will be a speech given by one of the most well-known speakers in America. According to the coordinator of the even Terry Richards, the goal of the conference is “to reach out to ages 9-12 to help them realize that truly “manly” men aren’t afraid to follow Christ.”
Terry Richards felt it was important to have a Manliness Conference, and that it would help the young men become more Godly.
“I want our boys to grow to be strong Christian men,” Richards said. “I felt that a conference focusing on the ‘manly way Jesus was’ would help all of our boys and their dads, other young men and older men to become more Godly.”
Speaker Chuck Stecker will be going over topics such as “What is a manly Christian man?” “A manly man’s friendships and relationships,” “How a manly man deals with temptation, girls, sex, anger,” and “How a manly man follows Jesus in everyday life.” Those interested be sure to come back to The Feather to listen to Kevin Garcha’s interview with Chuck Stecker.
According to a school flier, “Reverend Chuck Stecker is the President and Founder of A Chosen Generation, Chuck is an ordained minister of the Gospel with the Evangelical Church Alliance and has earned a Doctorate of Ministry specializing in Christian Leadership.
