Color guard and marching band perform in the elementary chapel to promote K-6 students who may be interested in joining, April 25.
These unique programs in FC encourage students with an interest in instruments as well as choreography performance to join.
Performing beyond the FC community, both marching band and color guard have participated in the Veterans Day Parade and the Clovis Electric Christmas Parade.
In addition, color guard has also participated in SJVCGPR (San Joaquin Valley Color Guard and Percussion Review), the Color Guard Championship.
Marching band includes several percussion instruments using different types of drum sticks and teamwork to keep the beat alive.
FC Color Guard is separated into two seasons including parade season and winter guard. Beginners may start with flag as it is the easiest of the three pieces to master; then moving to the rifle and sabre for a more advanced technique.
