After the Endeavour Space Shuttle landed in LA, it was moved all across the city for spectators to watch, Oct. 15. Afterwards the space shuttle was moved into a permanent exhibit located in the California Science Center.
Since the Endeavour drove through the streets, the city of LA had to re-surface the streets because the space shuttle weighed over 165,000 lb. Since the space shuttle was so enormous, many other areas of the city had to be set up in order for the shuttle to moved on the streets.
