New teacher Kimberly Bell assists her sixth and seventh home economics classes in baking muffins, Sept. 21.

One of Bell’s goals is to teach students household skills. Students learn and practice the skills being taught through hands-on activities. Jr. high and high school students combine in the classes.

Bell fills the role of teacher, after long time home economic class teacher Sharon Sharf retired. In years past Sharf had her class participate in creating projects for donation in various places. She brings new techniques and ways to educate her students while having fun.
