The kindergartners make their annual trip across campus to the Sunrise Senior Living Community retirement home to sing Thanksgiving songs with the residents, Nov. 16. The students celebrate with the residents before then heading back to enjoy a party with parents.

This tradition was created three years ago when the kindergartners moved to the main Fresno Christian campus. Amy Witters’ takes her class to the retirement home to share holiday spirit with the residents. Dressed in their Indian costumes they created, they recite Bible verses and perform Thanksgiving themed songs for their audience of retired men and women.

After walking back to campus, the kindergartners join their parents for the Thanksgiving celebration. Parents and their children enjoy the holiday treats and beverages.
