Balloon enthusiasts gathered from all around to watch the hot air balloons launch from the Clovis Rodeo Grounds on Oct. 29.
Crews began to prepare the balloons around 6 A.M. eventually crowds formed around them as they filled up with hot air. As the colorful balloons lifted off at approximately 7:38 A.M., people dissolved into the streets, purchasing food and other items from the vendors set up on Pollasky Ave.
Local vendors and hot air balloon enthusiasts began gathering around 5 a.m. in Old Town Clovis for the 42nd annual ClovisFest, Oct. 29. The event kicked off with the typical hot air balloon fun fly that saw 10 balloons launch into the sky that was lit by the sun rising over the Sierra Nevadas.
