FC high school varsity cheer prepares during first period for the upcoming comp season, Jan. 4. The teams first competition is on Jan. 28 at Clovis high school.

The team cheers year round for the varsity sports as well as participate in a variety of competitions.

Freshman Andrea Soravilla shares her excitement of taking part in high school cheer and her opinion for the upcoming season.

“Im looking forward to preforming with my team, and spending time with them,” Soravilla said. “High school cheer is different than junior high because we do a lot more conditioning and harder skills.”

They practice five hours per week for comp and this is the second year they have competed.
