The day was established by StoAmigo in 2016. This is the second year it has been reconized as a national day.

Technology is very important to a large variety of jobs and schools across the globe. FCS requires each student to use a device to work on schoolwork. Multiple schools across the nation have switched from paper to digital textbooks.
