It’s our civic duty to do our part and vote, Oct. 3.
Students in Robert Foshee’s civics class were grouped up, and assigned to vote yes or no on a prop and give their explanation. Today the rest of the class voted based on the reasoning from their fellow student’s presentations.
Next week, the campus will participate in National News Engagement Day, Oct. 7. News media organizations, including college and high school, will participate in discussions concerning how to become more active and engaged in campus and city news, especially as it relates to teens.
Look for more information at NewsEngagement.org over the weekend and on this newspaper, Oct. 6. The media kit is available through the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC) organization. They can also be visited through their home page: AEJMC.org.
