In Robert Foshee and Vickey Belmont’s high school leadership class, the long process of planning, confirming and creating advertisement has come to an end, Jan. 12.
Sadies has been a much anticipated outing for over 20 years. Leadership students spend many months sharing ideas and budgeting for this trip. Besides planning this outing, students have to paint signs and create other forms of advertisement.
Foshee has been in charge of helping the leadership students plan this event for 8 years and for Belmont, 3 years. They have to approve every detail that goes into Sadies.
Leadership student Hannah Nale, ’17, is one of many who spent many days perfecting every detail of the trip.
“We got to choose the activities we are doing for Sadies but this includes several learning experiences for our class including booking restaurants, making a schedule and creating an event for all to enjoy,” Nale said. “Planning Sadies can be stressful but once the event begins I know it will all be worth the work.”
