Freshman Kayla Vanderlinden shows a random act of kindness towards Freshman Megan LeBlanc by helping her pick up her books, Feb. 17.
National Random Acts of Kindness Day has grown in popularity each year. It is celebrated by individuals, groups and organizations nationwide to encourage kindness. It is the second to last day of National Random Acts of Kindness Week.
National Act of Kindness week is Feb. 12-18, and was etablished by the Random Act of Kindness Foundation.
Students can show kindness in the halls, at lunch or in class. Whether it’s offering to pay for a snack at stuff mart or just smiling at someone as you walk by this day can be celebrated by everyone. Even if it’s doing the dishes for your mom, an act of kindness can make someones day.
Megan LeBlanc shares her perspective on acts of kindness.
“There are multiple ways to show kindness to others on a daily basis,” LeBlanc said. “If you see someone who needs help, don’t hesitate to give them a hand”
How will you show a random act of kindness this week?
