Fresno Christian varsity boys basketball has progressed to the CIF Central Section Division V semi-finals, and will be playing against Caruthers Mar. 1.

The team feels confident about the game and is most excited about moving onto Selland Arena if they win against Caruthers. 

Second year varsity player, Joel Martinez, 17′, enjoys being able to work with his team this year, to achieve the goal that each player has their eyes on. 

If the Eagles progress into the final round, they are given the opportunity to play at Selland Arena. In the 2015-16 season, varsity basketball made it to Selland and lost in the Finals against Kern Valley, 57-54.

“I was expecting to make it this far,” Martinez said. “I knew that if everybody played to the best of their abilities, we could pull through.”
