Starting off the day, the video journalism team presents during the 93rd CSPA Spring Convention at Columbia University, March 16.
In their first session, ‘Video in under an hour’, Feather videographers, seniors Jarrod Markarian, Clark Zhu and juniors Daniel Chandler and Jaden Ventura led the session along with adviser Kori Friesen to offer the presenters a chance to show their audience the process of creating a video.
Feather photo adviser Kori Friesen jointed Markarian and presented ‘Quality and Quantity’ themes for the second session. The Feather video journalists also gave tips and tricks of how to produce both quality and quantity videos each week.
Students spent the rest of the day in SoHo and Little Italy. There they have the opportunity to go shopping at the many different shops in SoHo. Besides shopping, The Feather team broke up into small groups and tasted their way through well-known Italian restaurants around Little Italy.
The night ended with a trip to an off-Broadway production, ‘Stomp’. Stomp is made up of a group of musicians that use everyday items to create a percussion sound. The cast use brooms, cans, pans and many more objects to create the tunes.
