We were the host family for Stefan (Effing) and Gerrit (Wischer) and really enjoyed their stay with us. (See Oct. 17 online article “Cultural exchange broadens perspective” by Julia Schnur).

We were very sorry to see them leave so soon and hope to host more students from this program in years to come. We would encourage other families to try hosting a foreign exchange student too.

The Fresno-Muenster Sister City Program is a great way to get started because the students only stay in your home for a month and then go on a two-week sightseeing trip with other students in the program before returning to Muenster, Germany.

We would like to thank the Fresno Christian High School administration for allowing Stefan and Gerrit to attend there and we also want to thank the students for the warm welcome the guys received and the friendships they made while they were there.
