Dear editor:

I went the (girls’) volleyball tournament at Buchanan (High) this weekend (Oct. 28-29) with my daughter who plays on Central Union varsity team. We had the pleasure of playing Fresno Christian.

They were a tough team and they played well. Central Union did win the match (2-1). Afterward, your coach (Larry Orender) and his players invited the Central Union team to join them in a quiet prayer.

I appreciated the Christian spirit during and after the game.
