Students prepare for next year by signing up for their AP classes, April 26. The AP classes offered next year consist of literature, chemistry, biology, calculus and US history.
AP biology is offered every year for students to take. Many of the other AP classes rotate every other year so that students have a larger variety. AP US history is offered to sophomores through seniors and rotates with AP European. AP literature is only offered to junior and seniors and switches every other year with AP composition.
Most of the AP classes require students to complete summer work before the beginning of the school year in order to take the class. At the end of the year each class is required to take a test on the subject they took to recieve college credit.
