As the school year comes to a close, kindergarten through twelfth grade gather on the National Day of Prayer to pray as a student body, May 4.
Worship team begins the chapel with a few songs and invites students to come to the front during worship. After a time of worship, Robert Foshee invites previously chosen students to come up and lead the student body in prayer.
Student chosen receive a topic of which they are asked to pray about. Chara Jacobs, second grade, accompanied by Kristin Eldridge prays for Thanksgiving. Haiylee Reeves and Zeke Hamm, fourth grade, are accompanied by Matthew Weimer and pray for our leaders. Isaac Hwang, ’21, accompanied by Hallie Rojeskileads students in a prayer for school ministry in the community. Student Body President Hannah Nale closes with a prayer for individual growth in Christ and is accompanied by Robert Foshee.
Superintendent Jeremy Brown ends the time together with some encouragement to the student body. He invites students to take on their role as world leaders. Brown focuses on the senior class as they are graduating and heading out to truly become world leaders.
This is the sixth year that the kindergarten through twelfth grade has come together on the National Day of Prayer for a chapel.
