Karen Walters‘ Ap Biology and Zoology students take a trip to Cat Haven, May. 4.
Walters has been teaching both classes about different speciecs of cats, varying from the wild to normal house cats.
“I wanted to give the students a first hand look at what we are learning about.” Walters said. “The trip was both fun and educational.”
Cat Haven is a innovative park dedicataed to the preservation of wildcats. Specializing in education in both captive and range country conservation. Most cats are orphaned from the wild and taken care of by volunteers until ready to be re-homed. The haven educates people about the plight of endangered cat species, and raise funds for the conservation projects in the wild.
