At the beginning of each school year leadership students campaign to fill the ASB offices. There are six students running for six positions, which include president, vice president, treasurer, secretary, activity director and chaplain. The speeches will occur at lunch, Aug. 16, and voting will transpire during chapel, Aug. 17.

Leadership teacher Robert Foshee appreciates the opportunity speeches give for the student body to become better familiarized with their potential ASB officers.
“I think it’s awesome for the student body to get a say in who is in leadership on campus,” Foshee said. “It does a great job to let the candidates give speeches and share their heart for student leadership. Our big thing is to be servant leaders so it’s not, ‘we’re on top, everyone serve us,’ but it’s more, ‘how can we serve the student body?’ All the students that are running have shown interest in how they can help serve the students and make it a great year.”
FC lifer and ASB presidential candidate Roman Endicott feels his length of involvement at the school is a great reason why he should receive votes.
“Essentially I’m running because I really care for the school,” Endicott said. “I’ve been here a long time and my family has been involved at FC for a long time. Therefore I just want to make it the best place it can be. I want to be there my fellow classmates and enhance their experience as much as possible.”
Last year, seniors Hannah Nale and Trevor Trevino served as president and vice president, respectively. Erin Wilson, ‘18, held the office of secretary, Griffin Schmidt, ‘19, worked as treasurer and senior Sydney Belmont served as activities director.
