After a summer of conditioning, the campus football team continues practice in high temperatures, Aug. 18.
As the school year begins, a new season awaits for the Eagles. With 26 players this year, the team feels prepared for the upcoming games and obstacles they will face.
Junior Jonah Lozano, a wide receiver on the team for three years, has high hopes and expectations for his team.
“I think we have potential this year,” Lozano said. “We started out a little rough, but I’m excited to watch the team grow and to help the freshman expand their game and get better on the field.”
The team’s first game will be at Stone Ridge Christian in Merced, Aug. 25 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students. Concessions are available ranging from hamburgers to snacks. Due to limited bleacher seating, the Knights athletic department suggested visitors bring folding chairs.
