Title: Exposed

Description: Exposed is a mixed media piece using charcoal and colored pencil. At least 20 different shades of Prismacolor pencils were used along with General’s charcoal pencils in 2B and 6B. I felt like the majority of my pieces were in colored pencil so I decided to use a different medium in attempt to switch things up. To finish, I used a clear coat of spray paint to set the charcoal in place.

About the artist: Cayla Rivas is in her fourth year of high school art. Rivas’ artistic goals are to major in photography with a minor in fine art. Inspiration for her creative works come from the world of photography and studying many other artists.
