Sophomore Deborah Ingerson turns in her permission slip to English teacher Andrea Donaghe in preparation for the upcoming trip to the Museum of Tolerance, Oct. 18.
To go along with their studies of the Holocaust, the sophomore class will be taking a trip to the Museum of Tolerance, Oct 20. The Museum of Tolerance, which is located in Los Angeles, was built to educate others on the Holocaust.
This will be the first time sophomores take this field trip.
Andrea Donaghe, high school English teacher, expresses her opinion on going on this field trip,
“We’re reading ‘Night’ by Elie Wiesel, which is a Holocaust survival account, so for my students to be reading and visiting a museum dedicated to challenging students to understand the Holocaust is a bonus,” Donaghe said. ” I am so thrilled that this English 1o and English honors sophomore class is the class I get to take! This is my first English 10 field trip and I’m so glad it is to this museum.”
Students will be leaving at 5:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 20, and will return around 6 p.m. Each student must turn in a permission slip in order to travel with the group to Los Angeles to tour the Museum of Tolerance.
