The Feather Online is flashing back through the high school years of campus faculty. Some memories are long forgotten while others remain encapsulated forever in time.
Can you guess who this faculty flashback is?
What high school did you go to?
Buchanan High School, CUSD
What year did you graduate?
2006
Activities/ sports you were involved in?
Drama, leadership class, forensics (speech & debate)

Most embarrassing high school moment?
I’ll give some highlights: Singing Wicked’s “Defying Gravity” in a wig and dress as part of a Musical Revue Show (I was Galinda, of course), Flubbing an introduction of a monologue by accidentally saying a very bad swear word (#spoonerisms), and dancing to Harry Belafonte’s seminal classic “Jump in the Line” with my very old English Teacher.
One piece of advice from high school you would share?
Participate as much as you can. I’m not here to give you a cliche “These are the best years of your life, don’t waste it,” but you do only have this one shot at high school, and it would be terrible to regret not having the guts to put yourself out there for even just one night.
Your faculty flashback: Kyle Dodson
