Juniors defeat the seniors, 25-20, becoming champions in the first annual powder rough tournament, Dec. 4. Freshman took third place, defeating the sophomores.
Up to four girls from the JV and varsity volleyball team volunteer to coach the boys from their grade. The teams practiced all last week, preparing for the tournament.
The entire school day was altered in order to host the tournament. High school uses a half day schedule and watches the series of games after lunch.
Senior Wyatt Koop was thrilled to be apart of FC’s very first powder rough.
“I honestly really enjoyed being apart of powder rough,” Koop said. “We’re a pretty competitive class so loosing wasn’t ideal for us, but even though we lost I think that we all had a lot of fun doing it.”
