Pastor Russell Counts gives a message on God’s plans, Dec. 5.
Counts passed out puzzle pieces to the audience, signifying that they may not be able to see the whole picture, but the God can. He used the puzzle pieces’ two sides to illustrate talents and humbleness. Counts explained that the puzzle piece needs both the colorful side and the blank side to be effective, just like how God needs both humbleness and talents for his plan. The focus verse for the message was Romans 12:4-5.
Counts is a pastor at the Foundation Baptist Church, and is actively involved in campus life. He has coached the high school football team for five years. His wife, Angie Counts, teaches math in grades ten through twelve. Their two daughters, Celeste Counts and Annabelle Counts, both attend on campus.
